Christine

Christine

Sometimes I remember her again,
Her and the summer we spent together - Christine.
I remember the smell of the grass,
The summer-wind in our hair and the smile
Of Christine, Christine.

At that time we were sixteen years old
And our story is over long ago,
      She's forgotten me, I'm sure,
First love always promises more - than it ever can keep.

I remember when we were dreaming
With the seagulls we flew far across the sea, - Christine
But summer passed by, grass was mowed
The leaves were falling, autumn was coming, I said goodbye
To Christine, to Christine.

At that time we were sixteen years old,
And our story is over long ago,
      She's forgotten me, I'm sure,
First love always promises more - than it ever can keep.

We went asunder, I never saw her again,
But life's like a river and one day I finished to love Christine.
Sometimes I remember her again
And I'd like to send regards to Christine,
Where ever she is, where ever she is.
