No matter how far you run

This is where I was born
      This is my childhood home
White curtains in every room
This is where my father ruled
This is my hometown
This is where I come from
I hated all this deep inside
This I tried to escape from
For a long time
No matter how far you run
No matter how far you ride
No matter how fast you run
No matter how hard you try
You carry your parentage deep inside
This is where I grew up
These streets I hated that much
The narrowness of a small town
  Smugness all around
  Every front yard looks alike
  White fences and concreted drives
I hated all this deep inside
This I tried to escape from
  For a long time
No matter how far you run
No matter how far you ride
No matter how fast you run
No matter how hard you try
You carry your parentage deep inside

This is where I went to school
	    Surrounded by so many fools
  The teachers didn’t understand
I never had a lot of friends
This is where I fell in love
But she kidded me from the start
She had a bit on the side
  This I tried to replace
  All the time
No matter how far you run
No matter how far you ride
No matter how fast you run
No matter how hard you try
You carry your past deep inside
This is my childhood home
Filled with the love of my mom
This is were I grew up
Where my father taught me so much
This is where I was born
  This is my hometown
This is where I come from
  This is where I belong,
  This is my home
